YARIS TRAINING IN FREETOWN SIERRA LEONE (13 - 24 SEPTEMBER 2021)

The Yaoundé Architecture Regional information System (YARIS) training for Sierra Leone MOC started on Monday 13 September 2021 at the Sierra Leone Navy training School at Murray Town, Freetown with a low key opening ceremony which was chaired by the Head of Operations at the Joint maritime Committee (JMC). In attendance also was the commander Sierra Leone Navy who gave the welcome and keynote address and the Director of Military Operations at the Ministry of Defense. The trainers comprises of Captain Emmanuel Bell Bell from Cameroun, Yao Frame Benjamin Kossonou from Cote D'voire, Koamivi Holali Logossou from Cote D'voire and Bjorn Gregory Beirens from Belgium. Participants were drawn from the Sierra Leone Navy, the Sierra Leone marine Police, Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources and the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration.
